Every greenhouse season ends with a big clean-out—and today Katy showed us why the Kubota track dumper has been a total life-saver. We pulled a bunch of tomato plants out of the high-tunnel, loaded them up and are taking them straight to the compost pile.

My hydroponic strawberries have never grown this fast! 🍓 After changing up my nutrient mix and dialing in the EC and pH, the results have been incredible — huge berries ...even in late October.

Hey everyone, it’s Katy! I’m back in the strawberry high tunnel today to share an update I’m so excited about. Earlier this season, I struggled with slow growth and smaller fruit, but a simple nutrient tweak completely turned things around.

In this video, I’ll show you exactly what I changed in my hydroponic formula, how I manage the pH and EC, and what I’m using for my growing medium. You’ll also see this week’s harvest — I’m picking about 7 to 10 pounds twice a week right now!

💧 Nutrient Changes: Switched to a premixed berry formula and adjusted calcium nitrate
🌿 Medium: Half peat and half perlite, topped with perlite to keep fungus gnats down
🍓 Variety: Albion everbearing strawberries
🌡️ Conditions: Cool nights and balanced nutrients = big, sweet fruit
📅 Next Steps: Keeping production going through December before letting the plants rest for winter
